Quilt Blocks Nine Patch Checkerboard Set Of 42 + On Point Vintage Cotton Scrappy

Here is a set of 42 quilt blocks
in the Nine Patch Checkerboard pattern, #2413b as shown in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns compiled by Barbara Brackman.  Pattern is categorized as a Square In A Square block with unpieced center square.   There are an additional eight blocks which have been stitched together as shown in the last photo.
Each block measures approximately 9" square and is hand pieced in a hodge podge of vintage cotton / cotton blend fabrics.   Construction is based a nine patch block placed on point with the addition of a square in each corner and setting triangles.  Please note, not all seam allowances are large enough to accommodate a traditional 1/4" seam without "nipping" the points of some patches.
All of the blocks are pictured in the collage photo.  These are generally clean and ready to set.
When working with vintage fabric, blocks, tops or quilts, prior quilting and piecing experience is helpful. Pieces were not rotary cut and cutting templates and patterns may not have been square. Pieced items may not be flat. Vintage items may have a musty or storage odor.
