Quilt Blocks Eight Pointed Star Set of 16 Large Feedsack Cotton Fabric Floral

Here is a set of 16 quilt blocks in the Eight Pointed Star pattern,
#3735a in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns by Barbara Brackman.  It is categorized as an Eight Pointed / 45 Degree Diamond Star.   It was so named by the Ladies' Art Company, design #261.
Blocks are machine pieced and each measures approximately 12 1/2" square.  The fabrics are vintage cottons, including feedsack, generally from the 1940s era.  These are mostly clean, but there is some brown soiling present.  Please note, most of the seam allowances are not large enough to allow for setting without flattening the star points.

When working with vintage fabric, blocks, tops or quilts, prior quilting and piecing experience is helpful. Pieces were not rotary cut and cutting templates and patterns may not have been square. Pieced items may not be flat. Vintage items may have a musty or storage odor.
