The Dr. Fishsticks 9 pin Leslie ControllerFor Leslie models : 760, 770, 825, 825U, 830, 900, 900U, 910, 925, and 950
also will work with dual channel systems for dual channel Lesiles like the 700 and 710 at no extra charge.
9 pin socket with a ¼ inch audio input, and dual, three speed (off/slow/fast) dual footswitch is included (one switch is off on, the other slow fast).
If you are using a classic Hammond no preamp necessary., the Hammond's hot output is perfect for the Leslie. This includes all A, B, C, D, E, H, BA, B-2, C-2, B-3, C-3, A-100 (any A in the 100 series), RT-3, M, M-2, M-3 and many more! If you are using a modern keyboard you will need a good preamp. I recommend the ART tube MP, which are plentiful and cheap here on ebay, or you may have a good preamp around. A mini mixer, a tube or solid state preamp, anything to boost the signal, not sure if what you got will do it, just ask, and I'll help you figure it out.
Many of the new Hammond and Nord organs will have a "high level output" along with an 11 pin, either way you can get the signal there. Got questions about what you need, feel free to ask I'll help you figure out the best thing to do for your system.
The box has a footswitch in, and two audio inputs, one for single channel Leslies and the second for dual, if you don't have a dual Leslie, just leave the second input unused.
This auction is for the preamp-less controller with a foot switch.
This is the most versatile way to use your Leslie with the instrument and preamp of your choice.
Feel free to ask questions, but be sure all messages start with telling me exactly which Leslie you are using or hope to use, and what you intend to plug into it.
Shipping is via medium flat rate USPS Box. Sorry in advance to International customers, international shipping has gotten much more expensive lately, the shipping quote is for international postage only, no handling or other extra charges.
There are demos on youtube, but eBay no longer allows me to show them here.
Thanks for your interest, any questions feel free to ask.
Why Fishsticks?!?
Um... There are a few reasons. I have a 1984 Mercedes diesel that I converted to run on waste veggie oil, that kinds smells like fishsticks, so I first named that Dr. Fishsticks. I wanted to choose a name for these controllers that would let you know that I'm not one of those way to uptight, grumpy, Hammond organ guys, that I am a guy in my converted garage workshop making this stuff for you. I don't have a clear coat on my online presence pretending to be a big operation, I'm a one-man operation, and proud of it. I am a piano technician, a tube amp and Hammond/Leslie repair man, and a player, and have been for 20 years. Also, I like fishsticks.
I don't talk crap about my competitors or their products or mention them by name in my auctions or in forums. I have had a few Hammond tech types try to “pick fights” with me online, I don't respond to these people when I realize it's part of a petty game. Don't listing to any noise from anyone who is not a customer, especially anyone who “speaks too easily.” I have 100% customer satisfaction, and that's what's important to me.
