    Description

    An antique Japanese woodblock printed book. All pages are double printed on each side.
    That is 54 double sheets or 108 printed pages. We believe the paper is natural WASHI paper. We do NOT know the subject of the book nor the writer. We were only told by a Japanese person that he believed it was from the Taisho period (1912-45). We purchased
    the book in Japan in the mid 1980s .. hoping to figure out what it was about...but never did.
    All the pages are in good condition except for a large stain that has bled through the double paper. ( please see photo). The binding is done with silk thread.
