13 Piece Antique 19C Japanese Samurai Warrior Doll with Head Gear, Mask, Horse, Donkey and Wardrobe. The papier mache 8" Warrior has glass eyes some damage to nose and age wear to the face as shown. Warrior has a wood shaft that inserts into the hole on the back of the horse to hold the Warrior in place. The clothing is ornate with metal detail, lacquer leg protectors, tasseled shoes and mask etc. as shown. One animal appears to be a donkey that has some damage with one ear missing; neither horse or donkey have any distinct eyes in the sockets; animals measure approximately 9"x 8". There is head gear that appears to be for the animals embellished with bells as shown. Animals do have age wear as shown and appear to be papier mache with a faux fur covering; they appear to have been mounted on a base at one time that is not present. There is a very ornate warrior outfit with head gear that is mounted on a wood display stand that is in excellent condition as are many of the accessories. Museum Worthy.
