A very fine banknote from Egypt. This is the Cairo 4th August 1942 fifty pounds banknote issued by the National Bank of Egypt. The front of the banknote is brown, purple, blue, green and orange in color and depicts the image of caravan of camels moving in front of Mamluk tombs. The front also shows the name of the issuing bank, the serial number and one signature. The back has a guilloche pattern with the name of the issuing bank in Arabic and the denomination.
